After doing a lot of research and talking with people who have different preferences, here is what I came up with. This information will help you choose the best basic coffee brewer for your home. Hopefully it will help you make an informed choice.

First off, what type of filter do you want to use? The most popular type of filter is a Permeable filter, which is a durable plastic mesh filter. In research, was found that most drip coffeemakers cost between fifty and $ 150. Among the cheapest, made only around four cups of coffee, cost around fifty dollars and brew about six cups a day.

My next choice was a fairly durable automatic drip coffeemaker. The coffeemaker I went with is a Black & Decker line. They are one of the most popular coffee maker brands on the market and brew 12 cups a day easily. They are fairly durable and the brewing time is around two to three hours.

If price is an issue, there is another alternative, the Black and Decker Cuisinart IPPR Mini Programmable Espresso Machine. This machine has all the same features as the original Black and Decker coffeemaker, and can brew one cup of coffee at a time. The price is around seventy dollars.

While this machine is programmable, it may not have all the advanced features that the other coffeemaker I looked at would have. However, for basic brewing, it may earn enough. A single cup coffee maker with an integrated grinder and cup warmer will do the job for most households.

For the most part, they are fairly durable. However, there are some that are prone to rust when used outdoors or in areas with a lot of rain. They also have a short lifetime, typically three years, although this varies depending on the manufacturer.

An advanced option is a stovetop espresso maker. They generally have a built in water filtration system and programmable coffee machine with an attached boiler. These tend to be more expensive than other models, but they tend to last longer and are less likely to need a lot of maintenance. Additionally, many people like these as they can be used for potlucks, unlike a single cup coffee maker.

Single Cup Espresso Maker-A single cup, or French Press, is a great cup of espresso without using an elaborate water filtration system. They come in a variety of styles, including manual and programmable. Manual models allow you to manually put the beans in the coffee maker and cover the pot.
